Meet The ABLE Team

Claire

Director

Claire formerly worked as an emotional/behavior support specialist in K-12, and has extensive ABA training. She joined us in March 2020, and is now director of our Stirling location.

Lauren

Director

Lauren has been with our program since day-1, first as a volunteer, then part-timer, and now director. She left the field of teaching to join us full-time in Sep 2022.

Sandy

Supervisor

Sandy's been with ABLE since 2013, and worked in a school for special needs children and adults prior that.

Ali

Supervisor

Ali had been assisting in classrooms for special needs children since 2012. She started with ABLE in 2021. She has a background in ABA instruction and crisis prevention.

Olivia

Support Staff

Olivia started with us in 2024. She brought years of field experience and lots of energy.

Wayne

Support Staff

Wayne came to us from The Arc. He's been a driver and individual support specialist at ABLE since 2020.

Joe

Founder

Joe has been working in this field for almost 20 years, and founded this ABLE program in 2017. His previous roles were support specialist, supervisor, special education teacher, and director of ABLE.

Kathy

Support Staff

Kathy was driving clients and helping out with ABLE from the beginning. She worked as an individual support specialist for a few years. This program couldn't have happened without her.

Jen

Supervisor

Jen worked previously as an in-home ABA therapist, and joined ABLE in spring 2023 as support staff. She is now a supervisor at Westfield and Stirling, while also providing direct support to clients at each location.

Shaliqua

Support Staff

Shaliqua joined the ABLE team in August 2022. She previously worked in day habilitation and group home settings. Her experience makes her an exciting addition as support staff at the Westfield location

Michelle

Support Staff

Michelle joined ABLE in the 2nd half of 2023 as a volunteer. She is now a full-time support staff, and plays a big role in our Westfield location's success.

Antoniette

Support Staff

Antoniette joined ABLE in 2024. She's been a big help at our Westfield location.

Mauro

Inclusion Director

Mauro joined us in early 2023. He brought a lot of enthusiasm and energy to the crew. He's now in charge of our inclusion programs.

Robert

Support Staff

Robert came from the field of transportation, and has transitioned well into his position as support staff.

Fred

CBS/IS Director

Fred has been with ABLE since spring of 2023. He started as a volunteer, and is now in charge of our Individual Supports and Community Based Supports programs.

Jim

Support Staff

Jim joined us as a part-time driver at first, but has become a great everyday ABLE team member.

Jimmy

Support Staff

Jimmy came from outside the field, but has become a big contributor to ABLE's Day Hab and Community Inclusion programs.

Henry

Driver

Henry is ABLE's designated driver, and won "Best Outfit" at his first ABLE gala.

Garrett

Support Staff

Garrett has been a great addition to ABLE. He came to us in 2025 with some experience in special services and zoo keeping.

Mikey

Support Staff

Mikey joined ABLE in the summer of 2025. He had a ton of experience as a camp counselor, and has done really well since joining our team.

Rebecca & Riley

OT/Service Dog

Rebecca joined ABLE in 2023. She's a licensed OT with a doctorate from Rutgers. Riley, a registered service dog, has been helping members destress and overcome cynophobia since her first day at ABLE.

Anthony

Support Staff

Anthony has been a support staff member since 2024. He's got a good heart, and runs a very popular morning meeting.

Star

Support Staff

Star began in the summer of 2025. Her nurturing and compassionate approach has been welcomed by staff and clients alike.

Tom

BCBA

Tom has been our BCBA for a few years now, and has helped ABLE provide a safer environment for all members with and without behavioral challenges.

Dina

Support Staff

Dina joined us in 2023, took a long vacation, and returned in 2025. We're happy to have her energy back in the building!
